Join Brenda Murrow, Ph.D. for an overview of the current understanding of the similarities between species, including the theoretical frameworks and research findings regarding autonomic nervous system interaction, correlation in biofeedback measurements (ex: heart rate variability studies) and other species-to-species data. This presentation will help increase understanding of the physical similarities between horses and humans, which can be applied in EAS sessions to help professionals understand more about the ways participants nonverbally communicate. Attendees will be able to identify new ways to understand their participants nonverbally and use these skills to further their instructing abilities and support their community through providing equine-assisted services.
